mom loves the camera

Tyson seems to be growing everyday...and giving us new facial expressions all the time. I try to capture them but the camera just doesn't do it justice...
That doesn't mean I will stop trying:)

summer lovin'

This weekend we ventured out to our friend Katie's house for a pool party...it was in celebration of the completion of their backyard/tiki bar/pool area. Here Jason is enjoying some great summer food from the grill.
Erin and Ashley were apprently the beer pong champions (we are a classy bunch...Hey ladies-I don't remember buying any tickets to the gun show...)

Until Katie's dad Craig and my husband took them on. Craig is explaining the rules of the game to Jason.

We decided it was time for Tyson to meet Katie's giant Great Dane Andre...there was some sniffing and wimpering and now they are great friends. Maybe someday when Tyson wants a bike, we will just teach him how to ride Andre.

It's a swing thing...

Tyson is beginning to really enjoy his swing...for at least 20 minutes at a time anyway. Here he is showing his "mom, enough with the camera" face.
...just chillin'

...and we're done.

My own Don Ho

I had to take a picture of this outfit because it was just too cute. It was like I had my own very tiny Hawaian man...a very pale version anyway. Thanks for the clothes Tree and Elaine!
After many many tried I finally managed to capture Tyson smiling at his dad.

It appears Jason is telling a very good story as Tyson appears to be on the edge of his seat.

His room

here are some pictures of Tyson's bedroom. I just have to add a disclaimer that Jason picked the canary yellow color (or corncob as he calls it). I came home from drill with the military one weekend and it was painted...such a good husband I have.

The crib where hopefully Tyson will learn to sleep.

So far he does not enjoy his little wooden prison

the "face"

This is Tyson's "poop face" as I like to call it. Imagine a few really loud adult size grunts to go with this and you will experience the full picture. One time I was nursing him in a public bathroom stall and he was grunting so loudly I'm sure some of the other people in there were worried about me.
This is the after poop face...my eyes were watering too kid.

puke and prayers...

Tyson's cute bib...paying homage to his dads roots as a farmer...and also handy to catch the spit up that tends to happen if Tyson gets too excited.
Now I lay me down to sleep...
I pray the Lord my sould to keep...

The angels watch me through the night...
Until I wake in morning light-Amen.

Toga baby

We woke up one morning to find Tyson had rearranged his swaddled blanket into a toga...It seems he is smarter than we thought and is already practicing for college.
His innocent face

hmmm...one arm is free, not where did I put the other one?

friends...

Friends of ours, Sandy and Ryan Kitterman and their daughter Riley came over for s visit. Riley was pretty excited to hold the baby.
They gave us a bunch of great presents including this I heart mommy onesie. I took a picture just in case I needed to remind Tyson of how much he loved his momma.

My future's so bright...

Aunt Julie sent some fancy summer gear...Tyson begged to try it on.

Ginger?

Many babies lose their hair...and now Tyson has taken on the look of a balding old man...horseshoe hairline and all.
I have been telling Jason all along that his child was a redhead and now I have the pictures to prove it!

Due to his reddish hue and interesting hairline, he kind of looks like a baby version of Ron Howard.

The Haak side

Grandma Marilyn came out for a visit and was super helpful when Tyson once again decided that 4am is a good wake-up time....they caught a nap together later in the day.
Jason's little sister Becky also enjoyed meeting her nephew.

the Grandparents-Jason's mom Marilyn and her fiance Florian soak up a little sun at Rotary Gardens

We (well I) decided it was a good spot to try to get a family picture.
